The TCFE Committee

The Executive Committee consists of at least three and at maximum ten adults. The number of Executive Committee members will be determined by the General Meeting. Committee Members will be selected by the General Meeting from the candidates proposed by the regular members. One person, and no more, may represent a given country.

Each Executive Committee Member serves a maximum term of three years after his election in accordance to a schedule created by the Executive Committee.

Update 2008-03-30, TCFE Executive Committee Elections 2008 (12 March 08) give details of who is on the new committee, I am awaiting details from some of the members.

Nils Klug - President

Nils Klug has studied Tai Chi Chuan since 1988 and has been teaching since 1990. In the same year, Nils began studying with Master William C. C. Chen, and became his certified instructor in 1993, the same year he founded his own Tai Chi Chuan school in Hannover, Germany. Aside from his personal training with eminent instructors such as William C. C. Chen & Dr Tao Ping Siang. Nils has been an active promoter of tai chi chuan through his annual Push Hands Meeting, the largest push hands meeting in Europe, and his regular teaching in Europe.

Hans Finne - Vice President

Hans Finne(01.08.1946) recently retired from the Norwegian police force as a chief superintendent. He has studied martial arts since 1970. He has Karate Dan Grading in Goju Ryu Karate. He was the leader and trainer of the Oslo Police Karate Club 1986-1989.He was elected board member of the Norwegian Matrial arts organization. He has been practising tai chi chuan since 1988, and started his training under Pamela Healey from Wales. In 1989 he started practising qigong with Thomas Heinemann. Since then he has practised tai chi with Benjamin Low Peng and WIlliam CC.Chen. He has also practised Nei gong with Dan Docherty. He got a a bronze medal in the first European Championship of Tai Chi Chuan, and has been an international judge since.

Dan Docherty - Chairman

Dan Docherty has studied tai chi chuan since 1971 with Master Cheng Tin Hung. In 1980 he was the South-East Asia Open-Weight champion. Dan is a founder member of both the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain and the Taijiquan & Qigong Federation for Europe where he serves as President. He has published a number of books including Complete Tai Chi Chuan and Instant Tao and has produced a number of DVDs. His Tai Chi school is known as Practical Tai Chi Chuan and Dan regularly teaches in a number of European countries including Denmark, Finland, France, Germany Hungary, Israel, Sweden and of course the UK where he resides.

Ronnie Head

Ronnie Robinson - Secretary

Ronnie has studied taijiquan since 1981 and is a full-time professional instructor who is also a regular at major European events. He is an active promoter of internal arts who serves as Secretary of the Taijiquan & Qigong Federation and is editor of Tai Chi Chuan & Internal Arts magazine (UK). He has published a number of books and articles on tai chi chuan and two DVD’s. Ronnie also organises an annual international internal arts event in his native Scotland.

Cornelia Head

Cornelia Gruber Bilgeri - Treasurer

Cornelia was born in the year of the Dragon in the German part of Switzerland and lived for 7 years in Boston USA.

At the age of eighteen she fell in love with Tai-Chi Chuan at a major martial arts exhibition in New York.

Her first tai-chi teachers were John Chung Li, T.T. Liang and William C.C. Chen, then she changed to the school of Bow Sim Mark. She has been studying internal arts for over 30 years and teaching for over 25 years in her own schools in La Chaux-de-Fonds and Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Her syllabus includes Combined Tai-Chi Chuan, Fu-style Tai-Chi Chuan, Sword, Sabre, short Stick, Fan, Leung Yee Chuan, Tui Shou, San Shou and Qigong. She teaches seminars in Europe and regularly attends international meetings.

Cornelia serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the TCFE (European Federation for Taijiquan and Qigong) and the ASQT (Swiss Association of Qigong and Taijiquan) and organises a bi-annual international meeting of Tai-Chi Chuan and Qigong, Tai-Chi Tcho in Switzerland.

Paul Head

Paul Silfverstråle – Executive Committee Member

Paul studied Asian martial arts for over 20 years, and is a student of sifu Dan Docherty since 1998. He has lived, travelled, practiced and taught extensively in Europe, China and SE Asia, and spent considerable time in Malaysia and Singapore practicing with Wu-style people, but also got acquainted with the fighting arts of the Malaysian archipelago. International tournament winner in forms, pushing hands and San Shou, many of his students have also been successful on the international competition arena. He is a member of the executive board of the TCFE, and is working professionally teaching Tai Chi Chuan and as a TCM acupuncturist.

Dominique Casaÿs – Executive Committee Member

Born November 16th, 1957
Graduated as a physiotherapist in 1980 In 1982, spend a year in taking part to humanitarian missions in Africa with Médecins sans Frontières, and in Zimbawe, Tanzania and Rwanda with UNHCR. From 1984 to 1987, studies Traditional Chinese Medicine, focusing on Chinese massage. He becomes a specialist of therapy by chinese massage, and works as a professional from 1983 to 2003.

In 1991, he meets Ke Wen, raised in Sichuan and Qi Gong teacher. They get married in Kunming in 1992. Together, they found the association “les Temps du Corps” in 1992, to develop qi gong, tai chi quan et Chinese culture in France. In 1994, they organise the first international symposium of qi gong in Paris, with the help of UNESCO and chinese health minister. In 1995, they organise the first National Day of qi gong in Paris and found the French Federation of qi gong which gather together qi gong chinese masters and schools of France In 1999, they found the chinese culture center “Les Temps du Corps”, 600m2 in the center of Paris devoted to diversity of traditional chinese culture :
  • Qi Gong, Tai Ji Quan, Wushu
  • Yi Jing, Feng Shui, Calligraphia
  • Training school in Qi Gong, Wudang and Shaolin
Les Temps du Corps has partnerships in Chine with :

Les Temps du Corps is also a chinese medicine center with 3 doctors in traditional medicine and 3 masseurs.

Dominique Casaÿs is president of Les Temps du Corps (1.500 students) and is also president the French Federation of Qi Gong and Energetical Arts (more than 10.000 members and 500 graduated teachers)
